My trip 3D/2N at Ho Chi Minh City with my friend Ella, Kak Ani and Farhana on April 2010 is one of best vacations that i had so far. For the Muslims, food will be a bit challanging because not many halal restaurant there. If you are planning to visit Ho Chi Minh City, I suggest you to stay at hotels near by the Ben Thanh market. Not only it is easy for you to go shopping (Ben Thant market is just like arked mara where you can find almost anything from kain ela, buat baju, barang2 baju,kasut,beg,cenderahati,etc). Not far from Ben Thant market there is a halal restaurant – VN Halal restaurant. It menu is just like normal Thai restaurant – nasi paprik, tom yam, nasi goreng, ikan masak 3 rasa … just name it however the price is 3x higher that normal price at Malaysia.

Outside my hotel ... nite market starts at 6pm. The pasar malam is just like in petaling street , you can bargain the price!!!
Chu Chu tunnel ... experience the hardship life during Vietname war
This is the Halal restraurant not far from ben than market. The food is delicious and the place is clean. Only the price is bit expensive. To save money recommend you to bring maggie, nasi himpit ,etc from M'sia.
